AIKEN -- Mr. L.D. Redd, 70, of 1900 Alan Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley, with the Revs. Bobby Broach and Danny Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley.
Mr. Redd, a native of Aiken County, was a retired security officer with Regent Security and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Bethel men's Sunday school class.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce G. Redd; two brothers, James Pete Redd, Burnettown, and Ray Redd, North Augusta; three sisters, Helen Key, Aiken, Lyvenda Smith, Montgomery, Ala., and Betsie Mitchell, Bath; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Redd Jr., Lonnie Taylor, Sammy Redd, Bubba Spivey, James Redd Jr., Michael Redd, Leon Heath and Darling Heath.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bethel men's Sunday school class.
Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
