David E. Bland, 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Baptist Health. David was a native of Casey County, KY, a retired employee of Dean Foods, a member of Salt River Masonic Lodge #180, and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Izetta Pemberton Bland; his parents, Delmer and Millie McDonald Bland; and a brother, Lynwood Bland. David is survived by one son, Michael Bland; one daughter, LaTonya Bland; a step-daughter, Robin Marlowe Wimsatt; three sisters, Brenda Eastridge, Janet Wesley, and Joy Sprague; one brother, Edward Bland; along with seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two on the way. Friends may visit Monday, February 15, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with a graveside immediately following at the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
