Patricia Ann Boudrie, age 70, of Newport, Michigan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. She was born on August 19, 1950 in Monroe to the late Charles and Idel (Lavinge) Boudrie. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her brother Charles Boudrie, Jr.

Pat was a 1968 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Monroe County Community College. She also earned a Certificate in Early Childhood Development.

Pat had several different roles in the education system throughout her career. She worked at Jefferson High School as a secretary for six years and then as a teacher's aide in the Resource Room for five years. Later she became a secretary for the Registrar's Office at Monroe County Community College and finally spent six years as a teacher's aide for Head Start Pre-Kindergarten at Monroe County Intermediate School District for four years before retiring in 2009.

As a young woman, Pat looked forward to camping and hunting with her father in Northern Michigan. The ladies of the family enjoyed playing cards together at slumber parties. A talented actress, Pat performed many roles with the Monroe Community Players and lent her expertise to the Jefferson High School drama program. Pat loved all animals and had many cats and dogs over the years.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her partner of twenty-four years, Tracey Moran;
children, William (Sheri) McCloskey,
Kelly (Bink) Benke,
Scott (Heather) McCloskey,
Aaron (Kristin) Moran, and Theresa Moran;
five grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with more than anyone else, Devin, Connor, Drew, Alexa, and Evie; great granddaughter, Ryan; and feline companion, "Betty White".

Friends may gather on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Pat's Life will follow at 6 p.m. also at Merkle's. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the State of Michigan mandates, guests will be limited in number, face coverings will be required, and no food or beverages will be permitted inside the building.
