Ida Bedford Cantwell was the oldest daughter of Henry H. Bedford and
Minerva Lewis Bedford she was born in Bloomfield and spent most her
life there. She also lived in St Louis and Poplar Bluff in later years.
Ida married Harry J Cantwell in 1888 he was very sucessful in the mining
business. They were living in the St Louis area and divorced in 1898.
Ida and Mr Cantwell had two children Henry Donnelly Cantwell and Arthur
Blair Cantwell. Henry died at the young age of three while they were living
in St Louis. Arthur passed away shortly after joining the military while training
for combat in World War l ... He never got the opportunity he died of pneumonia
at his state side duty station..he was only 22.
Ida remarried to William Adams in 1907 and they lived in PoplarBluff Mo.
Ida moved back to Bloomfield before she died in 1949
