Charles A Smith, formerly of Decoria township, died in Minneapolis Friday noon. He was born in Decoria Township September 10, 1875, and had lived in Minneapolis 22 years. Smith was a signal man for the Soo Line for 30 years. He was 62 years old. Smith was a cousin of Mrs. William A Weber, 528 North Fourth Street. Surviving are his wife, Julia; one daughter, Esther and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Rader.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St Olaf Lutheran church, Twenty-Ninth and Emerson avenue north, Minneapolis, and at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Decoria Lutheran church. Burial will be in the Lutheran church cemetery at Decoria. Mankato Free Press; 1/10/1938.
