Bernard was born on June 2, 1951 to Alber and Larua (White Eagle) Two Bears. He was raised and educated in Cannon Ball, graduating from Ft Yates High School. Bernard graduated from United Tribes Training Center as an electrical technician. He was employed at L&H in Mandan after school. He moved back to the Cannon Ball area where he worked as a ranch hand.
He is survived by five sons, Mike, Montana, Bronson, North Carolina, Dustin, Kenel S.D. and Casey and Albert both of Eagle Butte, SD. Two daughters, Thecla Two Bears, Eagle Butte SD, and Emmy Sue Two Bears, Ft Yates. His mother Laura Looking Horse, Cannon Ball. Four brothers, Albert, Charles, Tony, and Basil all of Cannon Ball. Three sisters, Alberta Condon, Irene Lawrences and Gloria Fischer off of Ft Yates ND. Special friend, Susan, Ft Yates ND.
