LOCAL MINER IS SUMMONED
Funeral Rites for The Late Andrew Klein Will Be Held Tomorrow
Andrew Klein aged resident of this city was summoned at his home 812 S. Otter Creek street at an early hour yesterday morning, following an illness of several years. He had been bedfast for only a short time and word of his passing is received with great sadness. The decedent was listed among the early mines of the city and followed this occupation until ill health would not permit great activity.
He was born in Czecho-Slovakia, February 28, 1857, and when a young man was united in marriage with Anna Misenda in that county. In 1888 he and his bride immigrated to the United States, locating immediately in Streator, where seven children were born to the union, Andrew Klein, Thayer, Ill.; Mrs. Agnes Bussing, Brazil, Ind.; Mrs. Mary Gayan, Mrs. Cecelia Krocker, Charles R. Klein, Frank Klein and Mrs. Matilda Blasco, all of this city. Thirty-three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at eight o'clock from the residence, 812 S. Otter Creek street and at nine o'clock from the St. Stephen's church.
