Mr. Billy Jo Holly, 59, of Vaiden, died of heart failure Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona.
Mr. Holly, a heavy equipment operator, was a member of Vaiden Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Gray Holly.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Winona Gardens of Memory Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Holly officiating.
Mr. Holly is survived by his wife, Joyce DeSalvo Holly of Vaiden; two daughters, Carolyn Stacie Welch of Winona, Hope Lee Holly Hull of Vaiden, two step-daughters, Tisha Clark and Janell Boyette, both of Vaiden; two sons, Douglas Swayze "Bubba" Holly and Jason Rene Holly, both of Vaiden; one step-son, Charles Yates, Jr. of Vaiden; two sisters, Opal Petty of Vaiden, Jean Lyons of Shaw, four brothers, Bobby Lee Holly of Charleston, Jimmy Gray Holly, Tommy Dale Holly, and Johnny Ray Holly, all of Vaiden; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Tommy Dale Holly, Johnny Ray holly, Jimmy Gray Holly, Mark Havens, Clint Tompkins and Dennis Dean.
Honorary pallbearer was Bobby Lee Holly.
