He was a loving husband, daddy, poppaw, brother and uncle. He thanked God each day for blessing him with a loving wife and family. He loved his children and grandchildren, but there was a special bond with his grandson Justin. They were so much alike: two peas in a pod. Hunting, fishing and music were joys that they shared. Music played a wonderful part of Banner’s life. He taught himself to play the guitar at 15 and then used that God given talent along with a beautiful voice to the witness of the Glory of God.
Banner is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Lillie Anderson; three brothers, Tivis Canary, Bobby O’dell and W.R. Anderson; a sister, Rose Sutherland and a grandson, Eli Ryan Sutherland.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ival Anderson; daughter Kristi (Eddie) Woodard; the light of his life grandson, Justin Anderson-Woodard; stepsons, Bob (Colleen) Sutherland, Sam (Linda) Sutherland and Jeff Sutherland; stepdaughters Vicki Newberry, Karen (Jerry) Davis and Melissa (Tim) Hayes; adopted son, Bradley Jim Anderson; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Lindbergh, Gary (Juanita) and Don (Cathy) Anderson; sisters, Joyce Nell Edwards and Sue (Richard) Atteberry; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
