She is the daughter of the late Heber Alfred Walters and Sussanah [O'Dell] Walters.
She died Monday, March 8, 1999 at a Princeton, West Virginia hospital.
She was a retired dietitian for Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley. She was an active member of Princeton Church of God where she was a former Sunday School Superintendent and served as secretary of the ladies ministry for 20 years. She had lived in Princeton for 25 years, moving there from Sophia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Shaw; three sisters, Nellie Harris, Veda Hale, and Edith Vaughn; and a brother, Harlow Walters.
Survivors, two sisters, Kathleen Howerton and Madeline Howerton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. March 11, 1999 at Princeton Church of God with Dr. Ray Hurt officiating. Entombment in Serenity Mausoleum, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, West Virginia.
