She was a graduate of Butler High School, and had worked for T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Company in their customer service department for over 25 years, until her retirement in 2005.
She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, where she was a member of the Church choir, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed going to movies often.
