Donald was born on May 10, 1959 to the late Franklin Eugene Brown, Sr. and Mary Manring Brown in Guilford County. He was a man with strong work ethic and had unconditional love for his family. Donald had a great sense of humor. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, and a good cup of coffee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Gary Eugene Brown, Everett Franklin Brown and Sherry Ann Starkey. Surviving is a loving wife of 44 years, Susan Laughlin Brown of High Point; three children, Christopher Eugene Brown (Lisa) of High Point, Shannon Ray Brown (Christine) of Thomasville, Chastity Miranda Brown (Anthony Meadows) of High Point; three siblings, Vickie Jean White (Bobby) of Thomasville, Franklin Eugene Brown, Jr. of VA, Lessie Brown Laney (Charles) of Thomasville; eleven grandchildren, Alexis Shaner, Desiree Simmons, Cameron Author Ray Brown, Shi Walker, Elizabeth Glasco, Alexia Walker, Payton Brown, Tiffany Hagen, Kasey Walker, Chelsea Brown, Cheyenne Brown; two great-grandchildren, Aysleigh Simmons, Haven Patrick; special in-laws, Glenn and Pat Laughlin, Richard and Cynthia Rumple, Gary Luck and Cynthia “Cindy” Laughlin.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville. Burial will follow at Lebanon UMC Cemetery in Thomasville.
