Mary Nichols Brown, 83, of Bethel Road, Elkmont, died Wednesday at an Athens hospital.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Ardmore Funeral Home with Jerry Smith, Sammy Brister and Dr. Ron Wales officiating. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery in Elkmont.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Elmo Brown; a daughter, Helen Nichols Stanfill of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Raymond Scoggins of Elkmont and Johnson Scoggins of Louisville; two sisters, Nettie Biggs and Ethel Wales, both of Athens; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
