Standard-Examiner (Ogden, UT) - Wednesday, May 24, 2017

On May 18, 2017, after many years of ill-health, Patsy Lucile Wintle, age 70, was finally able to return to her Father in Heaven, and she was joyously greeted by all of her loved ones.

Pat is the daughter of Lucile and Lue Birch, her goodly parents. She loved them deeply and served them both to the very best of her ability until her body would no longer allow her to do so.

Patsy married Rodney Wintle on December 9, 1966, in Ogden, a marriage which was later sealed in the Logan Temple, and together they had one son, Jason.

Patsy came from the generation that knew how to work, and work hard, which she did throughout her life until her retirement. She loved to bake and worked at Topper and White Community Bakeries and later at Meals on Wheels. She used her wonderful talents to bless the lives of those she loved by baking and decorating incredibly exquisite wedding cakes for many. She also enjoyed all forms of needlework, including Tatting, an extremely complicated and difficult craft used to make lace. She excelled at all of the handiwork that she did.

Pat was a truly kind and gentle soul who valiantly accepted, without complaint, the many trials that she faced throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney; son, Jason; sister, MaryLu Sheehan; brother, Michael Birch; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucile; father, Lue; brother, Gary; and grandparents.

The family would like to thank Mountain View Health Services and Envision Hospice for their kind and gentle care.

A viewing will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Rock Cliff Ward chapel at 236 Porter Ave., in Ogden.

Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden.

Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Services, 5335 S. 1950 West, Roy, Utah.
