Graveside services for Vernice Lee Riggan, 77, of Novato, Calif. formerly of Des Moines and Runnells, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sandyville Cemetery in Sandyville, Iowa SE of Des Moines.
Mr. Riggan died Dec.17, at Novato General Hospital in Novato of complications following surgery.
Mr. Riggan was a native of Martinsdale, Indiana, and lived in the Des Moines and Runnells area most of his life.

Your Grandson Russ Jr. would tell me of your skill as a mechanic. He said you were well known for this and you had a small service. Your grandson was also a good mechanic as was his dad. He spoke of you often.
We were at your funeral it was a cold Dec. day but many turned out.
