Poem to all WW II veterans and to the memory of all those who are Airborne Forever..

"They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning we will remember them."

Sgt. Everett D. Dye was Killed in action at Best during the Market Garden campaign, on September 18, 1944, he was a member of 101st airborne, 502 PIR.
He received both the Bronze Medal, and the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf cluster.

Everett Was the son of Dwight and Ethel Jordan Dye and Brother of Francis Dye.

Everett Lived in Los Angeles, california until his enlistment in the Army on March 5, 1941.
He served in the 101st airborne, 502 parachute regiment.

In the Photograph Everett is in uniform next to his Mother Ethel with his Brother Francis (U.S. Navy WWII)

He is buried in U.S. War Cemetery, Margraten, Holland.

Everetts' grave has been adopted by Mr. John Smeets, Holland.
