He was born May 13, 1939, in Springfield, the son of Jerome and Lucille Carney Jordan.
Mr Jordan taught music at Waverly School for 17 years. He was also a realtor with Action Realty in Springfield and the pianist at Illini Country Club.
He was a 1957 graduate of St Isidore School in Farmersville, attended Springfield Junior College and graduated from the American Conservatory in Chicago in 1966, having received his master's degree in 1969. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Farmersville and Knights of Columbus 1152 in Farmersville.
Survivors: mother, Lucille Jordan of Farmersville; a sister, Monica Borgognoni of Springfield; a brother, Alex Jordan of Divernon; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services: 10am Thursday, St Mary's Catholic Church, Farmersville, the Rev Alan McIntosh officiating. Burial: St Maurice Cemetery, Morrisonville.
Hough Memorial Home in Farmersville is in charge of arrangements.
