H.A. "Phonse" amman, Beulah, Colo., passed away June 8, 1991, following a lengthy illness. Survived by his schildred, Larry (Pat) Amman, Denver, Mrs. Loretta (Jim) madden, Fort Collins, Mrs. Lorraine (Jim) Immel, Livermore, Calif., Leonard "Dick" (Ona Marie) Amman, Pueblo, Mrs. Linda (Fran) Gradishar, Pueblo and Laura Amman, Beulah. He is also survived by his brother Bud (Pony) Amman; brother-in-lawGeorge Miroslavich Jr., both of Denver and sister-in-law Jean Amman of Claifornia. Sruvived also by 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition he is survived by many friends in the Buelah Valley and at the Pueblo Regent Retirement Center. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen, in 1983. Mr. Amman was born in Denver on Feb. 15, 1912 and had been a resident of Beulah, Colo., for the past 41 yeras. He was a member of OUr Lady of LOurdes Parish in Beulah. Mr. AMman was the Chief Controller of the Federal Aviationi Agency's Pueblo Tower from 1950 until he retired in 1971. Under the Civil Aeronautics Administration, he was one of two individuals who started the first Air Traffic Control Tower in Denver, site of the present day Stapleton Airport. Mr. Amman was a member of the Western Slovanic Association, the Beulah and Colorado Historical Societies, Colorado Aviation Historical Society and the OX5 Aviation Pioneers Club. Services, Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Beulah. Rosary service for family and friends at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday; Funeral Mass, 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. Interment, Beulah Cemetery. reception following. Memorials may be made to the Beulah Volunteer Fire Department and the Beulah EMT's in crae of the funeral home office.
