John H. Holliday, born April 16, 1928, to parents Harry & Mae Holliday, in Alluwe, OK, passed away Sept. 29, 2007. John served in the military during WWII and the Korean War. After discharge from the Army, he attended Central State University and graduated with a degree in chemistry. John worked in the Ft. Worth area as a chemist and later received an accounting degree. John moved to Oklahoma City and worked for the Oklahoma Tax Commission until retirement. John enjoyed Bible study, bridge, pinochle, golf and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Holliday, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Harry, Earl and Robert; and 2 sisters, Katherine & Patsy. The family wishes to thank the staff of Integris Baptist Hospital, Lackey Manor nursing center & Odyssey house. The family would also like to thank Concordia Life Care staff & residents for their love and support, and also John Mosleys Bible Study class at Council Road Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Council Road Baptist Church 'The Cube.' Services are 1:30PM, Oct. 2, 2007, at Council Road Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Lindsay, OK.
