Born May 14, 1908, in Butler, he was the son of the late Joseph and Fannie Kosar.
He was retired from Pullman Standard following 38 years of employment.
Mr. Kosar was a member of St Michael Roman Catholic Church, Butler. He was a life-member of the Butler Moose Lodge and the Slovak Sokol Club in Lyndora, and a member of the Italian Society of Butler.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Kosar of Minneapolis, Minn; a daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Jean) Olson of Minneapolis, Minn; five brothers, John, Joseph, and Paul Kosar, all of Butler, and Nick and Steve Kosar, of Lyndora; four sisters, Mary Turk, Mrs. Tony (Nelle) Pollifrone, and Rose Franchuk, all of Butler, and Anna Smuch of Lyndora; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Sassone Kosar, on September 16, 1986.
