Gladys Adams Hagler, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday afternoon, November 26, 2015, at her home. She was 82. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the mortuary in Headland.

Mrs. Hagler, a native of Ashford, was the daughter of the late John Quincey Adams and Maggie Clark Adams. She was a 1952 graduate of Ashford High School and attended Riley Business College, Wallace Community College and Troy University, Ft. Rucker Campus.

Mrs. Hagler lived in Dothan all of her adult lifetime and was a member of the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as Church Treasurer for several years. An encourager for her family and friends, she loved fishing on Lake Seminole where she and her husband shared their cabin with hundreds of relatives and friends for fifty six years. Mrs. Hagler was formerly employed by Wilton Sturgis Food Broker Company and later retired from Akwell Industries as the Director of Purchasing. Following retirement, she was the General Manager of Red Fox Fertilizer and Chemical Company and the office manager of Tri-State Steel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Stanton and Gloria Adams, two brothers, John Quincey Adams, Jr. and Comer Adams.
