Lavina Brandon PETALUMA - Funeral services will be Tuesday in Petaluma for longtime resident Lavina V. Brandon, 85, who died Friday afternoon at a Petaluma Hospital. Mrs. Brandon, widow of the late William Brandon, was a native of Oakland. She moved with her family to Novato at an early age and was educated there. She was married there when her husband was associated with the Brown and Brandon Ranch at Nicasio and they moved to Petaluma in 1916. Her home was at 221 Keokuk st. Mrs. Brandon was a member of Petaluma First Presbyterian Church. Petaluma Grange and was a past member of Petaluma Garden Club. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, among them Mrs. Lela von Tagen, Mrs. Edna Lundblad and Fred Butler of Novato, Jane Smith of Sonoma, and Mildren Lee and Aletha Mayo, both of Petaluma. Also surviving are four great-nieces and nephews. Services Tuesday will be at 2 p.m. at Parent Funeral Chapel, followed by private entombment at Cypress Hill Memorial park.
