J. Davis Gordon Dies at Madison
J. Davis Gordon, 73, died early Sunday morning Madison, Miss., following an extended illness. He had spent most of his life in Jackson and Hinds County and was the son of the late. J. Davis Gordon and Jennie Manship Gordon.
Survivors include two brothers, Alfred Gordon of Gwin, Mississippi and Manship Gordon of Natchez and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gordon Collins of Jackson and Mrs. J. B. Davis of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday from the graveside in Greenwood Cemetery in Jackson. The Rev. Hubert L. Barlow, associate pastor of the Capital Street Methodist Church will officiate.
