Mrs. Lovetta Joyce Climer, daughter of the late Eli and Minnie Pearl Jordan, was born August 15th, 1933 in Maury City, TN and passed peacefully on January 30th, 2021 in Alamo, TN. At an early age she professed her love for Jesus Christ and became a member of Archers Chapel Methodist Church later an active member of Floyd’s Chapel Methodist Church. She served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher and a layperson at the charge conference. She was also a member of the Good Sam’s club and served as president of the local Woodman’s chapter.

She was united in holy matrimony to Owen Eugene Climer in October of 1950. Their union was blessed with two children. As a results of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved very well. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the hummingbirds that she loved so dearly. She enjoyed a long retirement filled with camping trips and looking after her grandchildren.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Joyce Ann Seipel and Nathan Climer; her grandchildren: Tim Seipel (Katie Seipel), Emily Bombeck (Abe Bombeck), Kellye Ketchum (James Wrenn II), Kristen Leathers (Josh Leathers), Joshua Climer (Courtney Climer), and Kelsey DeWitt (Justin DeWitt); her great-grandchildren: Allie Carver, Brennan Leathers, Andy Leathers, Brandon Ketchum, Julia Seipel, Mirjam Seipel, Marlies Seipel, Dorothy Bombeck, Owen Bombeck, Oliver Bombeck, Mason Climer, and Rory DeWitt.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2P.M. at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:30 P.M. and burial will occur at Floyd’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
