A lengthy description in September 8th 1907 edition of the Buffalo Sunday Morning News page 9 in an article about Buffalo grocers, says wonderful things about him. He bought the family grocery business, was very intelligent, very social, an excellent businessman and exceptional financial talent.
The family business is described as one of the oldest in Buffalo. established in 1862, by his father John always in the family and always in the same location, 453 Michigan Street. The business was very successful and with food of high quality. Coffee and fine teas were a specialty J. Albert is described as " one of the most striking figures and has one of the most engaging personalities. He is every ounce a fighter and every inch a man."

I suspect the J. in his name stood for John, and he was called J Albert Beierlein, and sometimes Albert J., to distinguish him from his Dad

Albert died of pneumonia. His wife had been Ruth Dambach Beierlein.

The Forest Lawn cemetery records list him as Albert J, but every newspaper reference I see of him and of course his tombstone calls him J. Albert
