Mary Elizabeth Woods Bryant

Mary Elizabeth Woods Bryant, age 90 of Lenoir passed away peacefully Friday, February 26, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born May 27, 1930 in Caldwell County to the late Joe and Virginia Anderson Woods.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Bryant; one infant son, Larry Bryant; four brothers, Joe Woods, Richard Woods, Ray Woods, and Fred Woods; and one sister, Shirley Brittain.
Mrs. Bryant attended Crestview Baptist Church and was strong in her faith and loved her Lord dearly. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed knitting, reading, and watching the birds in her yard. Mary was a lively spirit and took great pleasure in spending time with her family. Some of her fondest memories involve traveling with her aunts and cousins to see musical artist Alex Beaton perform. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Michael Alan Bryant and wife Virginia of Lenoir; one daughter, Donna Nicholas and husband Jay of Taylorsville; two brothers, Alfred “Buddy” Woods and wife Liz of Hudson, and Tommy Woods of Lenoir; two sisters, Dare Woods and Helen Hartley, both of Lenoir; three beloved grandsons, Steve McLean and wife Debby, Trent Nicholas and wife Megan, and Cole Nicholas and wife Alicia; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary McLean, Bailey McLean, and Rileigh Nicholas.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Mike Isaacs.
Serving as pallbearers will be members of the family.
Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
