ONALASKA, Wis. — Olive Mae Hoffmann of Onalaska passed away peacefully in Onalaska Care Center on Oct. 15, 2007, at 82. She was born in La Crosse on Jan. 27, 1925, to John and Verna (Jenks) Kramer. Olive married Eugene "Sparky" Hoffmann in 1938 in Mississippi.
Olive was very active in the La Crosse Muzzle Loader Club, taught hunter's safety, sponsored children's dances, cooking, fish fries and cookies. She was awarded Queen of the Year for the Tops Club.
Olive is survived by sons, Donald (Helen), William (Cathy); sisters, Lola Schafer, Joy Charles, Lilah (Peck) Bartz; brothers, Elmer (Alice) Kramer, Harold (Margaret) Kramer; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Carl; brother-in-law, Irvin Kramer; and daughter-in-law, Karen Hoffmann.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Apostolic Church, N5898 Hwy. 35, in Onalaska, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at church. The Rev. Mark Boyd will officiate. Interment at Oakland Cemetery in Dresbach, Minn.
