TV and Radio Personality. Paul Shannon was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He began his career on KDKA radio with a program called "Dream Weaver." He moved to WTAE-TV and from 1959-1975 hosted "Adventure Time." The show featured cartoons, Three Stooges shorts and characters such as Nosmo King (a play on a No Smoking sign) and The Great Mysto. Paul was one of several children's show hosts showing the Three Stooges during this time. This helped revive their popularity in the 1960's. To show their gratitude, the Stooges gave Paul and the other hosts parts in their 1965 movie "The Outlaws is Coming." Paul played Wild Bill Hickock in the film. In 1975, Paul retired handing the "Adventure Time" reigns to musician and television personality Joe Negri.
