James Thomas "Jim" Carr age 62 of Sturgis, KY died Thursday February 25, 2021 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born July 28, 1958 to the late Jerome Francis Carr & Margaret Ruth Adams French in Morganfield, KY.
He worked for Dodge Hill coal mines & Whitehead Electric in maintenance. He was a member of the Eagles Club and attended Grace Fellowship Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed barbecuing for family & friends, along with dancing. He was avid UK fan. He was 1976 graduate of Union County High School.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Carr; his mother, Margaret French a brother Jerry Carr and step-father Ezra "Buddy" French

The service will be 2PM Monday, March 1, 2021. Rev. Dwight Jackson will officiate. The burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis. The visitation will be 11AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
