Paul L. Walters, 83, of Blue Knob, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Lloyd E. and Edith C. (Sorge) Walters. He married Lois I. Feathers in 1959, she preceded him in death in 1999.

Surviving are a daughter, Rhea J. Gordon and husband Garth of Blue Knob; three sons: Marty V. and wife Laurel of Altoona, Lance E. and wife Dianna of Blue Knob, and Wayne P. and wife Jody of Blue Knob; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dennis of Dry Run. He was preceded in death by a son, Rex L. in 2010; a grand-daughter, Ruth Irene; and six siblings: Winifred, Isabelle, Linda, Nora, Richard, and Thomas.

Paul attended the little School House in Dry Run and was proprietor of Walters Auto Body and Repair. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church, where he formerly served as song leader and repairman for the Church vehicles.

Paul enjoyed travelling with “The Walters Family” to sing at many local Churches. He loved playing the guitar, banjo, violin, and mandolin. His biggest mission in life was sharing the Gospel.

All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. A private funeral service will be live streamed at www.sorgefuneralhome.com at 12 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021. Interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
