Long Illness Ends for Ex-Missionary
J.C. Fremont Harrington, 75, retired missionary and Stockton resident since 1923, died Saturday following an eight-year illness. Harrington served one year in Bolivia and 12 years in Chile in the Methodist missionary field. He was a graduate of Iowa State College and attended other educational institutions, receiving bachelor of philosophy, master of arts and bachelor of law degrees.
He is survived by his widow, Mary R. Harrington; a son, Donald Harrington, a senior at the University of California; a niece, Lois Harrington, teacher in the Stockton school department; a nephew, Hal Harrington, Stockton, and a niece, Mary Harrington Reed, Chile.
