Mrs. Mary Lorene Nicely, 95 of Brodhead, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Rockcastle Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born at Long Branch in Rockcastle County, KY on April 14, 1925 the daughter of Harve and Cordie Isaac Mink. She was a retired cook for Jean’s Restaurant and a member of Bandy Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters, Christine Adams of Cincinnati, OH, Joyce Sullivan of Scottsdale, AZ, and Debra Dooley of Goshen, OH; seven grandchildren, Mike Phelps, Angelia Thompson, Tabatha Adams, Misty Thompson, Mindy Nicely, Jillian Brown, and Jeremy Dooley; 13 great grandchildren, Scott Kern, Brandon Phelps, Nicholas Thompson, Wills Thompson, Henry Thompson, Colton Brown, Carson Brown, Cheston Brown, Cooper Brown, Gabrial Dooley, Kathlynn Dooley, Justin Baker, and Lou Venia Adams; and two great-great grandchildren, Arron Kern and Camron Phelps. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lovil Lee Nicely; a son, Greg Nicely; a grandson, Shannon Scalf; a brother; and four sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nicely will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, March 5 at Bandy Church of Christ by Bro. Robby Barron. Burial will follow in the Bandy Cemetery.
