SCOTTSDALE – Benjamin L. Bonner, 79, a retired engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad after 30 years, died Feb. 19, 1986, at his Scottsdale home. Mr. Bonner was born in Texas and moved to Arizona from there in 1977. He retired in 1971 and had a life membership in the United Transportation Union in Cleveland, Ohio, Local 1967. He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; daughter, Naomi Leyva; one sister; and two grandsons. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School, Scottsdale. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Coronado Baptist Church, 2240 N. Hayden, Scottsdale.
