Sid was born in Atlanta, Texas to Billy Phillips Clark and Audrie Joan Eddleman Clark on March 1, 1957. He was named after his dad's brother, also Sidney Frank Clark. He was raised in Texas and Louisiana. Sid passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 63, from complications following a surgical procedure.

He attended Texas Tech University and was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Sid married Samantha Whisenant on December 15, 1978. They began their married life in Odessa, TX and had three daughters together.

Sid was in the restaurant business his entire career. He served in various capacities at Steak and Ale and Harrigan's before establishing his own restaurants and catering operations. He owned and operated Catfish & Co., Sid & Sam's Steakhouse, Sid & Sam's Grill and Bar, Catering & Co., and Scratch Kitchen, all in the Permian Basin. He served as Regional Director and as President of the Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) and was awarded TRA Restaurateur of the Year.

He is survived his wife Susan Lightfoot Clark.
Daughters: Megan Clark-Sanchez (Robert), Taylor Ruggles (David) and Chelsea Cocchia (Victor).
Grandchildren: Marcus and Ryan Sanchez; Jeremiah, Caleb and Isaac Ruggles; and Luca and Victor Cocchia.
Sisters: Sandy Clark and Cindy Clark (Stuart Rabinowitz) and many extended family members.

Memorial Service was held Sunday, March 7th, 2021 from 4:00pm-5:30pm at the Rolling 7's Ranch, 11700 W. C. R. 122, Odessa, TX 79765.
