DONALDSON, Vera Mae Barger, 83, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away peacefully at home with her family surrounding her on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from Camellia Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with son-in-law, Reverend Neal Keith Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and then on Sunday at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Harland Edward Donaldson of 60 years; her parents, Ruben Sylvester and Lula Mae Grammer Barger; her sisters, Geneva Barger and Melba Barger Donaldson; brothers, Junior LeRoy Barger, Jewel Barger, Leon Barger and Solomon Sylvester Barger. She leaves behind her three children, Dawn Donaldson Moore (Keith) of Pell City, Jeffrey Leon Donaldson (Sabrina) of Prattville and Christopher Edward Donaldson (Sara) of Prattville; sister, Nola Barger Pond of Prattville; brother, Linvell Barger of Northport; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; she leaves a special nephew, Andrew Pond; extended family and many friends.
