Irene Zepp Wood, 83, formerly of New Providence R1, died Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. at Hamilton Arms Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for the past 1-1/2 years. Her death came after a long illness. Before her retirement in 1965, she was employed as a cook at Martin's Convalescent Home for 10 years. She was the wife of the late Roy Wood. her first husband, the late Roy Zepp, died in 1950. Mrs. Wood was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Utzinger Stumpf. Surviving are six children: Charles R. Zepp, New Providence R1; Elizabeth M., wife of Elmer Rutt, Columbia; Margaret M. Kiscaden, Roy H. Zepp and Ida J., wife of Leo Hoffman, all of Lancaster; and Gerald E. Zepp, Sacramento, Calif.; 41 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. (Lancaster New Era - June 20, 1985)
