Born in Ney, Ohio, in 1905, Mrs. Snyder attended Defiance College and taught grade school in a country schoolhouse near Ney before marrying and moving to Toledo in 1927. She was a member of the Holland United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Snyder is survived by her brothers, Tennyson of Orange County, FL, and Dallas, of Port Clinton; daughters, Jacqueline Monroe of Monclova, and Beverly (Don) Pyle of Newbury Park, CA; grandchildren, Rick Monroe of Waterville, Terry Marlow of Waterville, Cindy Beall of San Antonio, TX, Wendy Engel of Tehachapi, CA, and Molly Krise of Whitehouse; nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave. Friday September 1, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. in Ney Cemetery, Ney, Ohio.
