"Glenn E. Schenck, 77; Idaho Falls truck driver and livestock worker, died Feb. 10, 1983, at an Idaho Falls Hospital from a lingering illness.
He was born May, 1906, at Over Brook, Kan., to George E. and Iva Mazina Sparks Schenck.
In 1946, he married Ethel Stanger at Idaho Falls; she died Oct. 31, 1972.
In Idaho Falls, he was a truck driver, livestock worker and worked a great deal with horses.
On Sept. 14, 1942, he entered the Ninth Air Force while living in Challice during World War II. He was discharged in 1945 at Salt Lake City.
He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include three daughters and one son, Mrs. Glenna Talamantez, Mrs. Linda Ford, and Edward Schenck, all of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Sonyia Casper, Gold Beach, Ore.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Floyd "Lucky" Schenck and Audrey Wattenburger, both of Idaho Falls.
Funeral services will be Monday at noon at the Wood Chapel of the Pines with Bishop Gary Orchard of the Seventh LDS Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7:30-9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and Monday one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post No. 56."
