Mrs. Eldora Maxine Allen, the daughter of the late Lilburn and Sadie (Thompson) Beard, was born February 19, 1937 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Louisville at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. She had a made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. Eldora enjoyed playing the piano, writing songs, shopping, her church, her family, and especially her grandkids. She united in marriage on September 24, 1954 to James Robert Allen, who survives. Besides her husband, she is survived by five children: ; thirteen grandchildren: nineteen great-grandchildren; a son-in-law: a brother-in-law. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Kay Wethington; a brother: Delbert Beard; a sister: Elaine Skaggs and a grandson: Troy Wethington. The funeral service for Eldora Maxine Allen will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Mike Gribbins and Bro. Ronda Arnett will be officiating. Family requests visitation from 5-8 PM on Saturday at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Casket Carriers were Daniel Quinn, Jeremy Wethington, Casey Wethington, Jonathan Gilbert, Chad Gilbert, and Codie Allen.
