Retired for the last three years, Mr. Moore was born June 21,1893 in an old Sherman county town,LaBlanche. His parents,James B and Minnie Moore, were early homesteaders in the county. Married to Ella Peterson in Ruleton on October 23,1917, he then established his home on the present site nine miles south and six miles west of Goodland. He has been an active member in the Methodist church.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife; one son, Floyd; a daughter,Mrs. Bertha Duell of Great Bend and seven grandchildren. One brother,Hoyt, lives in Rocky Ford,Colo., while his brother Emery and a sister, Mrs. Murel Purvis,live in Goodland.
