Funeral services for life-time Sherman county rancher Carl S. Moore, will be held Friday at 2:00p.m. in the Goodland Methodist Church. Mr. Moore died Tuesday in the Burlington,Colo.,hospital.
Reverend Melvin Short will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Goodland cemetery. Casket bearers are Donald Renner,Ray Townsend,Chester Ewing, Glen Townsend,Ed Hayden and Glen Kenny.
Retired for the last three years, Mr. Moore was born June 21,1893 in an old Sherman county town,LaBlanche. His parents,James B and Minnie Moore, were early homesteaders in the county. Married to Ella Peterson in Ruleton on October 23,1917, he then established his home on the present site nine miles south and six miles west of Goodland. He has been an active member in the Methodist church.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife; one son, Floyd; a daughter,Mrs. Bertha Duell of Great Bend and seven grandchildren. One brother,Hoyt, lives in Rocky Ford,Colo., while his brother Emery and a sister, Mrs. Murel Purvis,live in Goodland.
