Don was born March 20, 1928, in Pesotum, a son of Joseph and Anna Hausmann Bleichner. He married Dorothy Drennan in June 1955.
Don was in the U.S. military during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He retired in 1983 after 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and a son.
He is survived by four sons, Danny of Hartsville, Tenn., David of Buffalo Valley, Tenn., Dale of Cullman, Ala., and Darrell of White House, Tenn.; two daughters, Debra Davis of Rome, Ga., and Dianna Bleichner of White House, Tenn.; three sisters, Mildred Bleichner of Mahomet, Carol (Tim) Gore of Decatur and Norma (John) Brown of Villa Grove; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
