George Richards, age 85, of Felton, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 1998. Mr. Richards was born in Haralson County. He was retired from the State of Georgia Revenue Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Napolean Richards and Ida Caroline Riddlespurger Richards; his wife, Margaret Ridings Richards; and a daughter Carol Bishop. Survivors include a daughter, Joan McEntyre of Felton; a sister Clora Mitchell of Lilburn; a brother, Howard Richards of Cedartown; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, July 10. 1998, from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with the Rev. Marvin Mobbs officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers included the Haralson County Sheriff,s Office, the local police department, Georgia State Patrol, and Higgins General Hospital employees. Hightower Funeral Home of Bremen was in charge of the arrangements.
