Walter Joseph Walsh
August 20, 1932 - October 20, 2007
Walter passed away after a short bout with cancer. He was a third generation native of Morgan Hill, CA. His father, Patrick (Gus) Walsh, for whom the P. A. Walsh Elementary School was named, served as a trustee of the Morgan HIll Unified School District for 43 years.
Walter was a member of the Live Oak High School class of 1951 and a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for many years as a General Engineering Contractor in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. After retiring in 1990, he worked as a Bulldozer Operator fighting wild land fires with his brother Donald and his nephew Warren. Since 1990, he and his family have made their home in Browns Valley, CA.
Walter is survived by his children; Vince (Brooke) and Kathleen, Patrick, Kelly and Shannon (Stacey), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his siblings Patricia Shaw (Warren) of Nevada, Leonard Walsh (Virginia) of Boulder Creek, Donald Walsh (Lucy) of San Martin, his cousin Bernice Walsh Kiser and her son Ken Kiser of Gilroy.
Preceding him in death were his wife Margie (Hall), step-daughter Donna Rollins Galbraith and granddaughters Heather Anne Abbott and Amanda Guiterrez.
He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends.
Services were held on Friday, October 26, at Lipp and Sullivan Funeral Home, Marysville, CA. Internment at Peoria Cemetery, Browns Valley, CA. Services provided by: Family.
