Nancy Elizabeth Jayne, 107, R.R.2, Westport, died 6:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 1988, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 8, 1881, in Boone County, Ind., the daughter of Jacob and Eliza Jane Large Singleton. She was raised in Jennings County, Ind., and lived most of her life in Decatur County, near Alert. She was a former member of the Christian Union Church at Alert.
She married John B. F. Jayne Dec. 5, 1899, in Jennings County, Ind., and he preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1940. She is survived by one daughter, Edna Arnold, R.R.2, Westport; two sons, Lee and Morris Jayne, both of R.R.2, Westport; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Howard, Adam and David Jayne; one daughter, Mamie Jayne; one stepdaughter, Mabel Andrews; five sisters and two brothers.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Bass and Gasper Funeral Home, Westport.
Burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery south of Alert.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
