Chester C. Willigman, 90 of Elgin, died Saturday, March 12, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1903, in Barrington Township, the son of Henry and Carrie (Lemke) Willigman.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Elgin. He owned a service station on Chicago Street for 20 years, then managed the Blue Moon from 1941 - 1947. After that, he worked for Ackermann's Furniture until retirement.

Survivors include a son,Chester E. (Viola M. Perrin) Willigman of Elgin; a grandson, C. Douglas, of Elgin; and two great-grandsons, Matthew and Jonathan Willigman, also of Elgin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel M. Willigman; two sisters, Elvina and Loretta; four brothers, Harry, Melvin, Henry Jr., and Carl Willigman; and a grandson, David Michael.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stout-Madison Funeral Home in Elgin, with Rev. Rich Rierson officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 - 9 pm. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
