Chester E. Willigman
Chester E. Willigman, 69, of Chetek, WI, formerly of Elgin, passed away Friday, May 19, 2000 in the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, WI.

He was born September 23, 1930 in Elgin, the son of Chester and Hazel Rahn Willigman.

He attended Elgin High School Class of 1949. He married Viola Perrin on January 22, 1950 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin. He was employed by Modern Dairy and later became foreman for the State of Illinois Sign Shop. After retiring in 1955, they moved to Pokegama Lake in Chetek, WI.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin.

Surviving are his wife, Viola; a son, C. Douglas (Deborah Willigman of St. Charles; five grandchildren; Matthew and Jonathan Willigman and Lacey Lauren and Leanne Junod.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Michael Willigman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Kottke officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 - 7 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
