Andreas and Sesilia bought half of Dypeidet in Øksnes in 1895 and moved there. Until then they had lived in Skipneset nearby. Andreas was from Helgland, Further south in Nordland Fylke. Andreas was a fisherman but also a shoemaker.
They had many children, and several of them emigrated. Many of the children died young.
Their youngest daughter Solveig Annie Andreassen took over the farm with her husband Ingvard Halfdan Sten Skipnes. They married in 1932.
