Andrew L. Tryens Sr., formerly of Hatboro, died May 24, 2009, at Sunrise of Blue
Bell. He was 87.

Born in Newark, Del., he was the son of the late William Leon and Sara Elliot
Falls Tryens. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Lange Tryens.

Mr. Tryens was a U.S. Army veteran, having serving in World War II.

After the war, he attended and graduated from Temple University, where he played
football.

For 35 years, he taught at and coached football and baseball at Lower Moreland
High School. In 2002 he was inducted into the Pennsylvania High School Football
Hall of Fame.

Mr. Tryens is survived by his children, Nancy Kemble and Andrew L. Tryens Jr.;
six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated May 30 at 11 a.m. at St. John Bosco Church,
235 E. County Line Road, Hatboro. Family will greet relatives and friend at 10
a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Hatboro Cemetery.
