He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. Carl retired after many years of service from Cherokee Textile Mills/Dan River. He was a beloved husband, dad, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla McCarter, parents, Raymond and Wilma Worth, Step-Mother, Edna Worth, and sister and brother -in-law, Willie and Gene Lane.
