On January 4, 2012, Peter C. DeCuzzi, age 81 of Cherry Hill.

It is with a heavy heart that the DeCuzzi Family must inform all of the passing of our dear and loving Husband and Father; Peter Cosmo DeCuzzi.

After a long and difficult struggle he passed peacefully in his Wife; Carol’s loving embrace with his sons Will and Bob holding his hands and Lou in Ohio on the speakerphone on his ear. He slipped away into a peaceful, star filled crisp winter sky. We fought the good fight and he went in the way he wished; fighting to make him well.

All the while our entire family was with him in the hospital even through Christmas in the HUP ICU and rehab at Lady of Lourdes where Bob had him watch the New Years fireworks from the Lourdes Solarium. Lou, his Wife; Kim and his sons came all of the way from Ohio to visit him in the hospital.

Our Dad was a kind, loving, compassionate and patient man. He will be sadly missed, but proudly and happily remembered by his family and those who he touched.

Peter began his career in education as a teacher and spent the final 25 years as the Vice Principal at Edgewood Regional Jr in Atco and later Overbrook Regional Jr. High School in Lindenwold. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of Rising Sun Lodge No. 15 F. & A.M. of Haddonfield as well as the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He served as an official with NJSIAA for football, swimming, track & field, cross country, baseball and basketball.

Interment is private.
